Alpha Panareti Public Ltd. is delighted to announce a new business venture with the Australian based, solar thermal energy developer, Lloyd Energy Systems.  Lloyd Energy has developed a unique solar thermal energy storage and electrical generation system which is superior to other forms of solar generation systems. The business venture will see Cyprus having the first of such systems in the Northern Hemisphere.

This is the next step in Alpha Panareti Public Ltds. desire to continue to provide deluxe properties with superb facilities in Cyprus, while at the same time reduce the greenhouse gas emissions which come with urban development and population. Alpha Panareti Public Ltd. believes Cyprus should not continue to meet growing energy demands with old-style energy generation, but should stand out as a Mediterranean region leader in tackling the increasing global warming issues stemming from greenhouse emissions.

Alpha Panareti Public Ltd. is Reducing Cyprus Emissions by Increasing
its Green Footprint

Alpha Panareti Public Ltd. is planning to ensure that the energy burden resulting from further development of its core business does not increase emissions in Cyprus.  Even more importantly, in the light of recent events which have resulted in an increase of 3% to individual’s electricity bills, Alpha Panareti is planning to reduce Cyprus’ emissions by increasing its green footprint in line with other responsible European Union members.

The Lloyd System stands out from other systems in that it is able to generate electrical energy from the sun’s rays even when the sun is not shining. Through its unique, graphite-based storage apparatus, the system is able to be “heated” during daylight hours and generate power at the same time and also “reserve” heat energy to make electricity after the sun sets.

Alpha Panareti Public Ltd. has had the foresight to see that it could harness Cyprus’ key asset, the sun and use this unlimited source of energy to counter the Island’s growing energy demand, brought about by continued development to meet tourism’s demands.

At a cost of some €100 million, the first such solar system is being planned for installation at the new Alpha Panareti public Ltd. new development near Alassa village, providing power both for the residential and leisure areas and for the desalination plant that they will be building to supply water to the project, all without any greenhouse emissions.  And the excess power that will be created can be fed into the national grid system.  

Add to this a major waste water collection and re-cycling system to irrigate the golf course and green areas, plus the planned use of geo-thermal insulation techniques for many of the properties at the site and it’s plain to see that Alpha Panareti is leading the way in green issues for this island.
