The Paphos Blood Donor Organisation held the start of their annual awareness campaign at the new head office of their main sponsor, Alpha Panareti Public Ltd., on the morning of the 12th of October 2009. The event will be publicised by a group of approximately forty cyclists touring the Paphos area carrying the message that blood donations are always in demand and that this important service saves lives. The event was blessed by Father George from the neighbouring Panayia Theoskepasti Church and following the blessing there was singing by a group of local school children. The morning also marked a celebration for Alpha Panareti Public Ltd. as it was the blessing of their new state of the art headquarters in the heart of Kato Paphos.
